Two pricing shapes underneath the same rule.

The 35% is the policy. How it ends up in your ledger depends on which kind of AI work you're calling.

Token-based
provider rate × 1.35
Chat, reasoning, AI Assistant, Forecast narration, document Q&A. We bill the AI provider's published rate plus 35%, computed per request. Numbers move when providers move; the 35% doesn't.
Per-unit utilities

The fine print

Two things worth saying clearly.

Safety: spend can't run away

Platform-level cost caps of $20/day and $200/month across all of Simpler (every customer combined) prevent runaway spend during an AI-provider incident or attack. Your individual ceiling is your wallet — you can never spend more than what you've topped up. No invoice arrives that you didn't already pre-pay.

Tiny infrastructure fee

Creating an invoice, logging an expense, adding a customer — these write a row to a database somewhere. We bill $0.00001 per write (one hundredth of a cent) to cover storage and bandwidth. For a normal-usage operator it adds up to about $0.06 per month. Disclosed because we'd rather over-explain than have you find an unexplained line item.
