Simpler uses artificial intelligence to provide its services. This includes:

AI outputs may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before use.

AI Training: Your documents, messages, and content are NOT used to train third-party AI models. We use AI providers (such as Anthropic) to process your requests, but your data is not contributed to their training datasets. Your preferences and feedback within Simpler are used only to personalize your own experience.

5. Simpler Business Intelligence Network (SBIN)

SBIN is the matching layer that turns the work you already do on Simpler into better matches — trusted partners, sharper vendor shortlists, calibrated pricing benchmarks. By creating an account you agree to participate by default. This notice is the disclosure required under the Singapore PDPA (§15A deemed consent by notification).

How to opt out: Go to your Profile and turn off the SBIN toggle. We stop ingesting new data immediately; existing extracted entities are frozen and not used in future matching. You can also request deletion of past SBIN contributions by emailing privacy@simpler.asia.

Your data may be processed outside Singapore by our service providers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

We retain different types of data for different periods:

Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8a. How Account Deletion Works

How to request it: sign in and open Support, then file a ticket under “Data deletion request (PDPA)” — or, if you cannot sign in, email privacy@simpler.asia. There is no self-service delete button — deletion is irreversible and we confirm the request with you before executing it. We act within 30 days and confirm in the ticket thread when it is done.

One precondition: if you are the last owner of a workspace that still has other members, we cannot delete your account until ownership is handed over — open Team, change another member’s role to “Owner”, then ask us again. Deleting you first would leave your colleagues holding a business nobody can administer, and it is the same rule that already stops the last owner being removed from the Team page. It does not apply if you are the only member of your workspace.

What is destroyed: the personal data we hold in structured records — names, addresses, identifiers — is stored as encrypted tokens under a key derived per user. Deletion destroys that key, which makes every one of those tokens permanently unreadable — not merely marked deleted. We also remove your login email, your access to every workspace, and revoke every active API and MCP token issued to you, so connected AI clients stop working on their next call.

What happens to content you created: files and free-form content — uploaded documents and images, spreadsheets, CRM notes, AI assistant conversations, studio and workflow projects — are not tokens, so the key destruction above does not touch them. If you are the only member of your workspace, deleting your account closes the workspace and this content is deleted with it, except records we must keep under the retention duties below (expense receipts, signed contracts, and verification documents). If your workspace has other members, it stays open and its content stays with it: what you created there is the workspace’s record, in the same way an invoice you issued is, and your colleagues’ business does not lose its files because one member left.

What is kept, and why: business and accounting records (invoices, credit transactions, receipts) are retained for the statutory period in the list above. This is a legal duty we cannot waive on request, and the PDPA does not require us to. Those records survive as figures and dates: the personal data inside them was encrypted with the key destroyed above, so they no longer identify you. We also keep a record that the deletion happened, which is what lets us prove we honoured your request.

9. Data Security

Your data is stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

10. Your Rights

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to:

Note: the PDPA does not grant an unconditional right to erasure of data held lawfully. We honour deletion requests on account closure and for SBIN contributions; other records may be retained where necessary for service operation, legal compliance, or legitimate business interests.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

If you use Simpler to process your own customers' data, please refer to our Data Processing Addendum which is incorporated into the Terms of Service and governs our processing of that data on your behalf.
